On our trip to Honduras in October 2004, we met with
leaders, community members, and residents of the several
villages in the area of our site. These meetings provided
us with insights and opportunities to begin creating the
infrastructure essential to implementing our vision and
future plans. The most important aspects of this trip were
the cooperation and participation of the local people in
the planning, decision-making, and building the foundation
of a network to meet the healthcare needs of the community.
Read the latest Trip Report for further highlights,
successes/challenges, and future plans. Also important is
our Honduran San Jose Survey, which still forms the basis
of our plans for a comprehensive community health approach
to this site.
