Bela and I have been doing a lot of home visits. Additionally, we gave two charlas over the past month. One was about first response for burns, and the second was about hepatitis. Etelvina chose the topic of hepatitis because we identified 6 children in one neighborhood with symptoms of hepatitis A, and got them linked up with the Ministry of Health System. We are two medical students from the University of
Rochester in New York State who are living and
working in San Jose, Intibuca, Honduras, for the
year. We are incredibly excited about the opportunity
to learn more about grassroots public health,
environmental health, and Honduras!
